YES CLASS is a long-term study program with a 3 months or more commitment.

Our Program is…

YES Class is a guided learning program. YES Class curriculum is specifically designed to teach and develop independent learning. The systematic and small step format of our program facilitates smooth, consistent progress.

The YES Class program is divided into small manageable segments of levels. Each level completely covers the application of a particular concept. Students’ progress to higher levels after completing previous levels, which builds upon their skills so they can expand the previous applications to the new concept. Simple introductory explanations and examples teach the students how to adapt to each new concept, which will be repeated in different forms of concept on next set of booklets.

Students advance quickly in the beginning because of the comfortable starting point. As they progress, the program becomes more challenging and takes longer to complete.

Review Policy

We will review the material with the student if they have more than 10 wrong answers for math. If students work on their books daily and don’t rush at the last minute to finish, there would be less incorrect answers, so we wish for your cooperation.

Wait and encourage your children when they are discouraged

If the above advice is followed, the student would have safe studying habits after studying for a year or at least 6 months

Class Attendance and Homework

•Students are required to attend 1 classes per week, at their designated day & time.

•Please pick up your child on time.

•Students will be assigned work for 5 days a week. They will do one day's work at the center and the rest at home(1/day). Please bring back all the work assigned. We will then grade it and give back the work if any correction is needed.

•Student has to do their work every day, please set 15-20 minutes aside as YES CLASS time. Doing work every day rather than finishing in a day will develop discipline, good study habits and focus.

•Please let us know if work is too easy or hard, if the child is reluctant, taking too long, resisting, etc.

Absence & Make up Class

• Dismissed classes on Holiday / summer & winter vacation should not be made up.

• Students take two weeks worth of homework to do at home during vacation.

• The makeup class should be attended within the current month. It will not be carried over to the next month. No credit will be given for the missed classes.

• If student is going to miss a class, please pick up the homework so student doesn't miss a week of work.

Parents should understand that

1.    YES CLASS is an individualized program
- Based on the results of the diagnostic test, students will start at a level where they will feel the most comfortable. The starting point should build the students’ confidence, concentration, and study skills so they can move on to more challenging levels. 

2. YES CLASS is an independent learning program
   - It is a self-learning program. Instructors will help them with questions and new concepts, but students will learn to achieve academic success independently and autonomously.  Easy-to-understand examples lead the students through increasingly intensive exercises in each new workbook.

3. YES CLASS Math develops both speed and accuracy
   - Students develop speed, accuracy, and confidence through the YES CLASS
     program.  As long as the students complete the given assignment with 90% accuracy within the 15 to 20 minutes daily completion time (DCT), they are ready to move on to the next booklet.
     Just as drills and repetition are necessary to mastering musical instruments or athletic abilities, YES CLASS drills and repetition develops the skill necessary to master mathematical concepts.

4. The YES CLASS program is about harmony
   - YES CLASS instructors, parents and students must work together to bring out the best out of the YES CLASS program. The instructor’s role is to provide the proper diagnostic test, provide feedback to parents, and to guide both parents and students according to YES CLASS program.  Parents must trust the guidance of the YES CLASS instructor and understand the importance of steady progress, repetition, and the benefit of the daily homework.  It is also important that the parents create conditions at home encouraging academic success.

5. One on One conference

We will have conferences every two months. (explanation on math evaluation)

6.   Grading system

Students receive feedback from teacher after one week from handing in homework. This delay is because we need to grade and record the score of homework packet and give appropriate feedback to students.

AGREEMENTS
By registering, you agree to the Cancellation Policy. 

YesClass PHOTO RELEASE AGREEMENT - You will be able to accept or deny to this release during registration.

I acknowledge that while my child is attending this YesClass program, he/she may be photographed by a still or video camera. I authorize YesClass, LLC. to utilize my child’s photographic image without identification in its brochures and advertisements in any media, including YesClass’s website. In giving my consent, I hereby release and hold harmless YesClass and its agents from any and all responsibility or liability relating to the use of the photographs. I understand that neither my child nor I will receive compensation should any photograph authorized hereunder be used.

CANCELLATION POLICY

By registering, you agree to the Cancellation Policy. Cancellations received at least one week prior to the date of the first class will receive a full refund of the registration fee. Cancellations received after this date, but prior to the second class, will receive a refund, minus a $30 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellations after the second class of the program. There are no refunds or make-ups for missed classes. If a class is cancelled due to weather or other events, the class will be rescheduled.
